Vitoria Stone in Brasil invests by choosing the quality of Fraccaroli & Balzan S.p.A.
VITORIA STONE, one of the most important international Companies in the world for granite processing, has increased its plant in Vitoria in Brazil, with the installation of technologically up-to date multiwire saws for granite slabbing. As for the water treatment plant and sludge dewatering, VITORIA STONE has relied on Fraccaroli & Balzan S.p.A., which, on the background of the experience built in more than forty years of activity, has designed, manufactured and installed a system, which represents the state of the art in the waste water treatment sector.
The plant consists of one circuit dedicated to the waste water from multiwire saws, a complete decantation unit, a clean water storage tank for the decanted water and a pump group for sending back the clean water to the processing line.
The circuit is equipped with a pump for feeding the waste water to the decanter, a flocculant station and a pneumatic valve unit for discharging the liquid slurry from the decanter’s bottom.
Concerning the slurry dehydration, the liquid slurry discharged from the decantation unit is collected into a homogenizing mud tank and, through a centrifugal pump, feeds a filterpress mod. FB/800-10 EXP 15 (nr. 10 plates, each plate size 800 x 800 mm) that allows to reduce as much as possible the residual moisture in the dry cakes.
The feature of this filterpress is that it can carry up to 15 plates. If the Customer increases his production capacity, all he has to do is to install only the additional plates on the machine. This will allow the customer to have a broad range of flexibility using the filterpress.
The whole plant is fully automatic and all functions and operating parameters are optimized and controlled by a PLC. Qualified personnel of Fraccaroli & Balzan S.p.A. has taken care of the installation and the start up of the plant, as well as the set up of all parameters for an efficient plant functioning and the training of local staff.
To sum up, this is a new reference of absolute prestige in addition to thousand more installed all around the world produced by Fraccaroli & Balzan S.p.A. during its history.
